ULTA HAAAAAUUUULLLL!!!! :D

Hola!!! I hope everyone's Christmas was a good and blessed one!

I meant to do this BEFORE Christmas, but alas, I'm a list minuet shopper and was bogged down with Christmas shopping and Christmas matters. :)

So I went to Ulta the 23rd and got some great stuff!! I was taking advantage of their 20% off coupon as well as their "Buy an Ulta product, get a free gift". PLUS--they were having an Ulta BOGO free!! Here's a picture of the products I got:

-It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product $18
-Hot Tools 4" Metal Control Clips 6 ct. $4.49
-Vidal Sassoon Teasing/Detangling/Fan Tail combs $3.79
-Ulta Cream Lipstick in Chili Pepper $8
-Ulta Tinted Lip Balm in Cupid $6
-Ulta #1 eyeshadow brush $12
Cost WOULD have been (tax included): $56.59
With my 20% off coupon, BOGO Free AND a free gift with Ulta cosmetic purchase, I paid a woping $30.53!!! That's a $26.06 savings! Woot!

I have my friend to thank for showing me the awesome-ness that is coupons!!

I have to say that I am in LOOOOOVE with Chili Pepper!!! It's such a beautiful red color. JUST the red I've been looking for.

I will be doing a review on the It's a 10 Miracle Leave in soon! :)

Primer Shoot out!! Urban Decay Vs. E.L.F. *Part I* (And BOLD Christmas look)

It has begun...

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Vs. E.L.F. Eyelid Primer! Accompanied with a BOLD Christmas look. I will post a video tomorrow with the results of who I think wins. I'll also have a poll with that post and video as well to see what YOU think! Here is the look FRESH after it's done:

**Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer ^**              VS              **^ E.L.F. Eyelid Primer**

Ok so I know my bold Christmas look is a little rough, BUT I am still just a beginner in all of this. That and I have very rigid eyelids and it's hard to apply eyeliner. I'm thinking of trying a different liquid eyeliner. I'm needing a tip that's a little more sturdy. I had a liquid eyeliner back in the day that had an almost felt tip that you still dipped into liquid and I LOVED it!

I've put links to all the product names (except for the Estee Lauder because they don't make that specific highlighter anymore) so if you're interested in the product, just click on its name and it will take you to the company's website.

So besides the two primers, here are the products I used to get my look:

As a base color on my lids, I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk *Thank you iCRAiZ!!*

I used BH Cosmetics 88 Color Matte Palette for the eyeshadow colors. I only used two colors from this. I kind of wanted to keep it simple, yet bold (as I'm still learning). Here are the colors I used:

For the liquid eyeliner on the top lid, I used Wet 'N' Wild Mega Liner in Black. I'm going to have to shop around for the liquid liner that's right for me. I can't seem to put this on without making it look awful because the brush just goes everywhere IT wants rather than what I want. : /
For my waterline I used Milani Liquif'Eye Eyeliner in Black, (I'll be doing a review for this in the near future.) and for my lashes I used Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes! For my cheeks I used Physician's Formula Powder Palette® Multi-Colored Blush in Blushing Berry  along with an Estee Lauder cheek highlighter.

I didn't really do anything with my lips, only because in the AM when I get to work I drink coffee and then all of my lipstick comes off. At which point I'm just like "What was the point?" But right now I'm wearing Ulta's Tinted Lip Balm in Cupid.

I'm the video I post tomorrow I will go over how I applied the look and of course which primer I thought did the best at holding up against the elements. Which are NASTY right now. It's dark, foggy, cold and "misty" out right now. What a lame Christmas. No snow. :(

Tomorrow: Primer Shoot out Part II!!! See you then!!

~*Review*~ Mary Kay TimeWise® Targeted-Action® Eye Revitalizer

Hello fellow beauty product enthusiasts!

Please enjoy the video. :D I also wanted to post a blog to go along side of it that will include some basics about the product. All of the WHY's will be in the video. Also, please forgive the settings along with my appearance. As I said in my previous entry, I am dealing with some personal issues today so I chose not to wear make-up as to keep it from running. Also because I couldn't record this at home, I did it in our P.O.S. beater car--AKA The Beast. : / I would have recorded it at home, but my oh-so-loving husband was blasting Battlefield 3, so alas I couldn't do any recording.

First of all, I would like to put it out there that I AM in fact a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I'm not doing this blog to PUSH Mary Kay down your throat. I'm here to give honest opinions about all kinds of beauty products, whether it's Mary Kay, Urban Decay, Revlon, etc.

Back to the topic at hand!

There are a lot of plant and fruit extracts in this product. Grapefruit, hops, cucumber, oats, lemon, tangerine, orange, hazel are some of the extracts you will find in this. So for those of you who may have allergies to any of these I would beware!! But because of all the plant and fruit extracts it smells really good. It's also really easy to apply because of the roller ball:

Here is the ingrediants list (If you have allergies, PLEASE read!):
WATER/EAU, HDI/TRIMETHYLOL HEXYLLACTONE CROSSPOLYMER, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, CLYCERIN DIPEPTIDE-2, PALMITOYL TERA-PEPTIDE-7, MAGNOLIA BIONDII BUD/FLOWER EXTRACT, CITRUS GRANDIS (GRAPEFRUIT) PEEL EXTRACT, HUMULUS LUPULUS (HOPS) EXTRACT, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT, HESPERIDIN METHYL CHALCONE, CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT, ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE, AVENA SATIVA (OAT) KERNEL EXTRACT, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) SEED EXTRACT, HIBISCUS SABDARIFFA FLOWER EXRACT, CITRUS MEDICA LIMONUM (LEMON) FRUIT EXTRACT, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) PEEL EXTRACT, DORYLUS AVELLANA (HAZEL) BUD EXTRACT, MORUS ALBA BARK EXTRACT, ARTEMISIA ABROTANUM FLOWER/LEAF/STEM EXTRACT, CHLORELLA VULGARIS EXTRACT, ANETHOLEA ANISATA LEAF EXTRACT, TASMANNIA LANCEOLATA LEAF EXTRACT, HYDROLYZED SOY PROTIEN, GLYCERYL POLY ACRYLATE, SILICA, POLYACRYLAMIDE, C13-14 ISOPARAFFIN, MENTHYL LACTATE, POLYSORBATE 20, LAURETH-7, PEG-4 LAURATE, STEARETH-20, SODIUM CITRATE, ALCOHOL DENATE., DISODIUM EDTA, PHENOXYETHANOL, DIAZOLIDINYLUREA, METHLPARABEN, IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE, ETHYLPARABEN, CHLORPHENESIN, BUTYLPARABEN, ISOBUTYLPARABEN, CHLORSEIDINE DIGLUCONATE.

Wow. What a mouthful. I can't even pronounce half of that! HAHAHA!

If you're not intimidated by all of the long scientific names in the ingredients list then I would definitely give this a try! It retails for $35, but if you have a local Mary Kay person you go to, they may give you a deal. IF you'd like to purchase from me (which you can no matter WHERE you are because I will ship for free to you) if you mention this blog I'll get this to you for $25.00 *plus applicable tax* just type in MISTREZ in the comments :) This offer expires 6/30/2012!

Questions? Comments? Let me know!!!

Next time! Cute Christmas look and the Primer Shoot Out!!! :D

Primer Shoot out!! Urban Decay Vs. E.L.F. *UPDATE*

So the official shoot out has been postponed until Thursday due to personal reasons.

I don't really want to give out a whole lot of information except that a lot of crying has been going on and will DEFINITELY be happening throughout the day tomorrow.

So Thursday is the day!! As a "filler" for tomorrow, I'm going to do a video and a post on a skin care product that I hold dear to my dermis. ;D

My Glam- The December Bag!

Well this is my first post, so let's hope it goes well :)

I received the first My Glam "Glam Bag" just a couple of weeks ago. I have yet to try ALL of the products since the Mai Couture Lavender Blush Paper is really not my color and the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream was also not my color. I did however take a little bit out of the tube and put it on my finger tip to feel the texture. :)

So here is my take on the products from the first Glam Bag!

Sin Eyeshadow by Urban Decay:
I really like this eyeshadow. It has a very smooth consistency, a nice shimmer and great pigment. Not something I would wear alone, but it would be good for a lid color or even a highlight.
These single colors have 52 different shades to choose from.

Eyeshadow Primer Potion by Urban Decay :

I've only used this a couple of times since I got it. Not sure how I feel about it just yet. I'm doing a shoot out right now between this and the E.L.F.'s (Eyes Lips Face- for those who DON'T know) eyeLID primer. Not the mineral eyeSHADOW primer. While they technically are different, the concept is the same. They're both eye primers. I'll have a post about who wins the shoot out tomorrow. :)
So far though, I'd say it's ok. I'm not going to RAVE about it just yet. We'll see how it holds up to a more complex eye makeup look.
These Primer Potions have a few different varieties and colors. There are squeeze tubes, applicator tubes, big sizes, travel sizes, etc.

Lights, Camera, Lashes! by Tarte Cosmetics:

Oh. My. Gosh. I LA-LA-LOOOOOOOOOVE this mascara!!! It's so smooth, doesn't clump, makes my lashes look longer AND fuller!!! And I don't even have to curl them! (Which I rarely ever do anyways--still trying to perfect my technique.) Another good thing about this product is that it's ingredients are 100% natural, the packaging is recycled and uses soy ink. It's a nice GREEN product. (For those of you who care ;D) Either way, it works, I love it and I will pay the $19 for a full size tube of it.

Soft Matte Lip Cream by NYX Cosmetics:

I received this in Istanbul. Not a good color for me. I focus more towards to "blue" or cool colors rather than the "orange" or warm colors and they tend to make my teeth look more yellow. As I said before I took some out of the tube with a toothpick to at least feel the texture. WOW! It's so creamy and smooth!! It's like a cream lip stick, in a gloss form that isn't shiny and is a completely matte color. It's also not sticky AT ALL. I can't imagine it lasting very long if you're eating or drinking a lot. But it would be well worth the price to get a nice tube of Amsterdam or Monte Carlo :)

Blush Papier by Mai Couture:

Hm. I haven't tried this. I got a lavender color (which for some reason isn't even available on their website?). Purple is not a good blush color for someone as pale as I am. : / I'm sure they're great, but I just don't know for sure. I wish I would have gotten a nice pale pink or even the oil blotters. Anyone have any input for these blush papers? Please comment below!

I hope my review of the December Glam Bag products was helpful. I plan on doing one for each bag I receive. I can't WAIT for January's bag!! Here's the sneak peek we all got just a few days ago!

What do YOU think will be apart of January's bag? :)

Don't forget to check out MyGlam and join the beauty community!!! Subsctiptions or currently sold out, but keep checking back for your chance to get some of these GREAT products for only $10 a month!!!
Coming Soon!! Who will win the eye primer shoot out?! Urban Decay or E.L.F.??
